Spellbinder is a 1988 thriller starring Kelly Preston and Timothy Daly.
It tells the story of a young attorney, Jeff Mills, who saves a beautiful woman named Miranda Reed (Preston) from her abusive boyfriend. Having no home to stay in Miranda goes to stay with Jeff.
Unfortunately for Jeff Miranda is also a member of a witches coven, and she’s on the run from the lot of them. They need her back in order to sacrifice her on the winter solstice - though she must come willingly in the end or the sacrifice will not work properly. But the coven tries to force her anyway, managing to get Jeff mixed up in the trouble as well by terrifying him with their powers.
